Art In Alaska is a family owned and operated business based in
Interior Alaska. Dan and Michelle Spillane, long-term residents of
Fairbanks, began collecting authentic pieces of art from around the
state as a personal hobby.  Over the past several years they have
had the opportunity to meet local artists to see first hand the process
behind the creation. Seeing the variety of raw materials found in
Alaska that can be used to create unique birch bowls or symbolic
ivory carvings has inspired them to create a venue from which these
treasures can be appreciated. Their hope is that the art featured
through Art In Alaska will leave an impression of not only the work of
art but the land from which it came.
